New for Spring 2025

Following feedback from our service users, as part of the Our Health Matters project, we wanted to get out and about and during Ramadan, lunch won’t be as well attended. We’re swimming!

Join us Mondays from 12.30pm at Porchester Hall for a group swimming activity.

FREE for those over 60 or in receipt of concessions.

Also New for March 2025…

With the support of a Pop-up grant from Queen’s Park Community Council, one of our volunteers is running a series of Well Being sessions for local women.

Calm & Creative Connections 2

We are pleased to be in receipt of a Communities Priorities Programme grant for the second year running. This programme, funded by Westminster City Council enables us to deliver creative and wellbeing activities that the community want, need and benefit from. Since the pandemic, we have responded to a growing need to provide FREE and/or low-cost wellbeing activities. Access to Yoga is taking place at the NEW Jubilee Community Sports Centre on Lancefield Street W10. We are excited to be delivering this activity in the wider community.

Why Access to Yoga?

Yoga is well renowned for its benefits to health and wellbeing. Gentle movement and stretching are particular important in the cold winter months. Further, many low cost or free physical activities generally take place during the day and with the cost-of-living crisis we want to ensure that this activity is widely accessible to local residents, including those in work.

  • Sessions start on Thursday 18th January at 6pm and run for 18 weeks until April.
  • Priority will be given to Queen’s Park residents followed by wider Westminster Residents.
  • Sessions are free and donations will be welcome.
  • Spaces will be allocated on a first come basis. Arrive 6pm to secure your space!

Calm & Creative Connections

We are pleased to be in receipt of a Communities Priorities Programme grant for the second year running. This programme, funded by Westminster City Council enables us to deliver creative and wellbeing activities that the community want, need and benefit from. After some disruption with our service delivery (due to major damp proofing works), we finally got our Sewing, Crafts and Upcycling project underway towards the end of last year.

And as luck would have it, a few weeks after starting our project, look who we bumped into…such an inspiration for our small-scale upcycling project that supports local people to ‘turn old into new’ and repair and restore preloved items.
