What a difference a year makes!

In June 2018 we moved into our new home @472 Harrow Road, W9 3RU in North Westminster. We have had a roller-coaster of a year once we secured the lease after months of negotiation, paperwork and preparation. In the last year: we cleaned, repaired and painted; we sourced new, old and donated furniture; we promoted and marketed and leafleted our new address; we  worked in the garden and more…

NEW for 2019

Following feedback from our service users, this year we added more activities to our service. In addition to the staples, from our new community hub we ran the following activities:

  • Introduction to Yoga
  • Relaxation, Mindfulness and Meditation
  • Sewing Workshops: Beginners, Repairs and Make your own…
  • Monthly well being walks

We were so excited and  pleased to be nominated and shortlisted for the #MyWestminster Community Awards to culminate with our one year anniversary. And truly humbled to win the category: Voluntary Contribution to the Community. Here’s to the coming year! See Westminster’s photo album here:

#Tesco Bags of Help

In 2018, we entered the Tesco Bags of help Community Competition. We wanted to transform a small concrete wasteland into a lovely garden space where we could grow flowers and herbs.  Just over one year ago, we were pleased to discover WE WON.

Here’s a slideshow of our garden journey to date.

A big THANK YOU to

Voting has began…

We’ve entered the Aviva Community Fund to win funds to purchase two new computers.

The competition opened on Tuesday 25th October and runs until 18th November.

Last year, we ran a basic IT course and since that project ended, we’ve received many requests for a repeat. Two new computers will be a valuable resource to our local community and will provide greater access to those who are without internet access or the skills to use the internet and computer independently.

Once you have registered on the Aviva site, voting will only take a few minutes out of your day. And remember you have 10 votes to use as you wish – on one project or across projects, the choice is yours.

A BIG thank you for your support, please share with family, friends and colleagues.
